RABBITS & GUINEA PIGS
A Special Appeal...
***Flippety and Snowhite***
Flippety and Snowhite have been here for a while now and are desperate to find a new home. They're not very happy here at the shelter and are starting to get a bit grumpy as a result. They are an older pair (around 6 years old) and would really like a nice home that they could retire to and just spend their days doing what rabbits do best... being rabbits! They would love a nice free-range garden set-up but would be just as happy in a nice spacious hutch and run or even as house rabbits. Can you offer these two lovely little bunnies the nice warm home they so desperately need?

---------------------------------------------------------------
Bauble
Bauble is a lovely little boy. He is friendly and curious and enjoys spending time with people. He is looking for a nice new home with a female bunny for company. He could live as an indoor or outdoor rabbit.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Daisy (Reserved)
Daisy is a gorgeous girl with a beautiful shiny coat. She can be a little wary of new people at first but she soon comes round once she gets to know you and is then bold and curious. She seems to enjoy human company and is looking for a nice new home with a male bunny companion.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Leonard
Lovely Leonard the lion head x is looking for a nice new home with a female companion. He was a bit nervous when he first arrived here at the shelter but now he has settled in and has shown himself to be a friendly little boy who likes to follow people around and investigate what you may be up to!
---------------------------------------------------------------

Bugsy

Bugsy
Bugsy is currently our longest staying rabbit - we've no idea why, he's a fabulous chap! He is about 9 months old and a lovely independent boy. Being curious & friendly he loves human company & even the occasional cuddle. He particularly enjoys having his nose stroked! He will probably help you with the gardening in time.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Nibbles
Nibbles is a very cute young lad. He may be tiny but he has a big personality! He can be a little unsure of new faces at first but it doesn't last! Once he gets to know you he's bold and active and a lot of fun. There's never a dull moment with Nibbles around! He's not nibbley by nature - unless he spots a tasty looking shoelace!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Diggery and Raisin
Raisin (left) and Diggery (right) are now the best of friends. Diggery is a bold and friendly boy who loves human company. Raisin is a little more shy but since bonding with Diggery she has gained in confidence and is becoming a brave little girl. They could live as indoor or outdoor rabbits and would be fine to live with children who are used to rabbits.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Benedict
Beautiful Benedict, the Belgian Hare crossbreed, is a very special boy. He is very nervous of people and new environments although he is starting to make some progress. He is looking for a home with a nice gentle female companion and owners who have experience of very nervous rabbits. He will need time and patience, but we are sure with some TLC he will continue to gain confidence and become a lovely companion. Due to his nervousness he is looking for a home without young children but teenagers with experience of nervous rabbits would be ok. **Update 12/1/12 - Benedict is getting braver by the day! He has gained the courage to take food from your hand and now enjoys coming out of his pen to explore and is even happy enough to 'binky' on occasion!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Terry
Terry is a lovely friendly chap. He is lively and very inquisitive, getting him to stay still for a photo was quite a challenge!! He enjoys human company and would be fine to live with children over 10. He is looking for a nice cosy hutch and run with a neutered female companion to snuggle up with.

AVIARY BIRDS
Lola and Wilson
Lola (blue) and Wilson (green) are two sweet little budgies looking for a new home together. They would like a nice spacious aviary to call home.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Clubs and Spades
Clubs and Spades are a handsome pair of male cockatiels looking for a nice new home together.

RODENTS
Nibbler
Nibbler by name... not so nibbler by nature! She loves to nibble cardboard boxes and willow sticks but doesn't nibble people at all! She is a very pretty pale grey gerbil who loves to burrow and scurry about. She would love a nice new home with some people who are used to gerbils or other small rodents.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Rex (Reserved)
Rex is a lovely, gentle boy who enjoys his cuddles! Due to few little personality quirks (like not understanding about climbing between cage levels - bless!) he would benefit from an owner with rat experience and would like some other rats to live with.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Phoebe (Reserved)
Phoebe is a lovely young girl who is looking for a new home and some friends to live with. She is a little nervous but is gaining confidence quickly and she is starting to really enjoy spending time out of her cage with people. She would be fine to live with children over 10 who have experience of rats.

FERRETS
Star and Angel
This little bundle of fluffiness is two ferrets really! Star and Angel are two sweet little girls looking for a home together. Angel is a very gentle placid little girl who loves cuddles. Star is a bit more playful and can be a little nippy when she gets over excited! She is undergoing some training to stop this though and as she is an intelligent little girl she is quickly learning. They would like an owner with some experience of ferrets.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Holly

Holly is looking for a very special home. She can be a bit worried by the world and as a result was a rather bitey girl when she arrived at the shelter. She is currently being trained to break this behaviour and she is doing really well. She has been going home with a member of staff and has shown herself to be much more relaxed in a quiet home environment and she is actually a very sweet, playful girl. She generally interacts well with other ferrets, although she can be a little dominant towards other females. She needs a very experienced ferret owner who can handle her gently but confidently and continue her training. She could be rehomed with Star and Angel (above) or on her own to live with some existing ferrets.

If you are interested in Holly and think you could offer her the loving home she deserves please call the shelter first on 01392 439898 for more information.
