Little Valley Animal Shelter

This is a selection of some of the cats available for adoption. If you are interested in one of these cats please telephone the Shelter first on 01392 439898 to find out more information. When calling, please inform us if there are any changes expected in your personal circumstances (moving house, going on holiday etc) so we can discuss your situation in more detail. Please also be advised we will often require a cat flap to be fitted in your home - if this is the case we will ask that this is done prior to adoption of your cat. *New cats added 3/7/08* *Reserves are updated every day.*
	Jake	'Dave Sidney'

	Jake was a stray cat and is aged about 10 years old who the vet says is in good heath for his age. He is a lovely older boy who adores a fuss and demand lots of it and tells you off if you stop! he could possibly be homed with children over 5 years and is very good about using his litter tray nd has cat flaps completely sussed. Will make a great pet.	'Dave Sidney' is a stray cat about 13 years old and looking for a retirement home. He is quite a character and needs an experienced cat owner who used preferably used to confident longhaired cats as he will need regular grooming. He is in good health for his age but is entered onto our Golden Oldie Veterinary support scheme which will pay up to £25 per month for any age related vet bills.
	Tinkerbell	Magic

	Tinkerbell is sweet but very nervous and needs a very patient and understanding owner who will give her the time to come out of herself in a quiet environment. She is about 18 months old and would be happy to live with another cat but dogs would be too much for her. Looking for a home with Skippy ideally!	2 year old tabby boy Magic has lost his tail! Despite this he is a very friendly and sweet chap who is rather timid and would like a quiet and calm home where he can gain confidence. Any children should be over 10 and no dogs in the home, but he might enjoy the company of another cat. Once he know you he enjoys a fuss and cuddle.
	Bella	Orlando

	Bella is an older girl (about 12 years) who was found as a stray but never claimed. She is a friendly girl who would prefer a home without other pets. She is quite talkative and loves a fuss but will need regular grooming, which she likes a great deal.	1-2 year old Orlando is a very sweet and playful boy who needs an experienced owner as he can be quite bossy and demanding if he thinks he will! Having said that, he enjoys attention and is very playful, and generally is a,lovely boy. Any children in the home should be over 10 and he would need assessing with other cats and dogs if necessary.
	Misty	Officer Dibble

	I'm a very sweet and sophisticated older lady who likes to be introduced first before I show you how affectionate I can be - about 2 minutes, then if I like you, you may make a fuss of me! I'm over 10 years old and therefore need a little assistance with my grooming as my coat is a rather luxurious one and needs regular grooming (I enjoy this). I do have a tendency to poke my tongue out a lot of the time but I mean no offence with this. Because of my age I belong to the 'Golden Oldies' club here at Little Valley which means that if I have any age-related illnesses sometime in the future I may be allowed some financial aid towards this if necessary. Ask about this at Reception.	We all love Officer Dibble!!! He's about 8 year's old has probably lived the wandering life for years and was most perturbed to be cooped up in a pen to start with. But now he loves the attention and has decided to put his nomadic days behind him and settle down. He will need regular grooming and he's probably not a first time cat owner's choice but he's great!!! See Officer Dibble strut his stuff!

	Tivvy (Reserved)	Millie

	Tivvy was found as a stray having been possibly involved in a road traffic accident. He is about 5 years old and we have found him to be quite a nervy boy but who enjoys a fuss when he knows you. He could live in either a rural or town environment, uses a litter tray and is trying to get the hang of cat flaps.	Millie was recently rehomed by the Shelter but came back as she was not happy with a baby in the house. She is 3 years old and has a sweet but sensitive nature and needs a quiet and understanding home, ideally with another friendly cat. Any children in the home should be over 10 years. She uses her litter tray and is used to a cat flap.
	Jerry & Ginny	April

	Jerry and Ginny came into the Shelter in late April 08 and are hoping to find a home together. Jerry (black and white) is about 6 years old and Ginny (ginger) is about 9 years. They are both laid back boys who have a lovely natures and really enjoy human company	Pretty little April came to us as a pregnant stray. She had 4 kittens early in May and now that they are old enough to find homes of their own she is hoping for her own pad. She is 2 years old, very sweet and affectionate, and will make a delightful pet.
	Skippy	Raindrop (Rehomed)

	Skippy is about 5 years old and was brought to the Shelter due to a relationship break-up. Skippy can be quite a nervy boy once encouraged he will like to have a fuss. He could be homed with another cat but will need a quite environment where any children should be older, preferably over 10 years. He is in good health and uses a litter tray. Looking for a home with Tinkerbell ideally!	Pretty tortoishell female Raindrop was abandoned with her kittens. She has been a good Mum and now that her kittens are old enough to go to new homes she is seeking a loving home herself. She is a very sweet natured 12 month old lady who deserves some love and affection.
	Ricky	Rafael (Reserved)

	Ricky is a very handsome boy with a light sandy ginger coat. He was a stray and is thought to be about 5-6 years old. He loves lots of attention and will make someone a really great pet. At present he is not too fond of being picked up but maybe when he gets to know and trust you he will be fine.	Rafael is a lovely boy who was a stray, but not for long we think. he is approx. 4 years old but is recovering from a wound under his leg where it was caught in his collar. This is healing well and he is now looking for a new homewhere he can rest and heal and receive lots of love and affection.

	4 kittens aged about 8-9 weeks all looking for new homes.	4 more kittens born here at Little Valley early May, now looking for new homes.
	Scuff	Purdy (Reserved)

	Scuff was a stray, we think he is about 1 year old. He is a very worried boy and quite nervous about his surroundings. He is desperately in need of a quiet and calm home where he can have access to space and corners to hide in until he gets his confidence and feeling of security.	Tabby female Purdy was abandoned and is now seeking a new home where she can be loved and made welcome. She is just about 7-8 months old, very inquisitive and love lots of attention and wants to play. She is a stunner!
	Sebastian

	Sebastian arrived here with Izzy from Torbay but we have now separated them to give them a better chance to secure a loving home and Izzy has found a new home on her own. So now we only have Seb, he is male and 6 years old, very friendly and desperate for love.
